(This e-mail was prepared for Nishina by
taKashi OGAWA.)
My name is Nishina, a Japanese, live in Tokyo
and windsurfing in Omaezaki.
I would like to have advice from Mr. Josh
Angulo, please forward this mail to him.
I have been doing wave sailing with Angulo
boards and Ezzy sails, and also there are
many windsurfing people using Angulo boards
and Ezzy sails around me.
I have all models of AMIGU and CHANGO and
some Ezzy sails (3.3, 3.7, 4.5, 5.0, 5.8)
.
I am very thankful to you for your development
of windsurfing equipment.
But I have a problem of my sailing stance.
If you give me some advice, I am so happy.
for example : AMIGU
I am 162 cm tall and 70kg, very smaller than
you.
I understand gaining my weight at the front
leg is important to do wave sailing with
great feature of this board.
But I have been feeling dissatisfaction with
my inflexible moving.
Each strap has two position;
1st Delrins, close to the nose
2nd Delrins, close to the tail
When I used 1st Delrins for front straps
and 1st Delrins for a rear strap, my stance
was about 46 cm (from the end Delrin of front
strap to the top Delrin of rear strap).
This stance was still wider for me.
So I tried to add Delrins for a rear strap,
and new my stance is 40 cm.
It helps me to drive the front part of the
board, and my moving became to be flexible.
But I wonder . . .
This trial gave me a huge merit, but maybe
did I lose something which I could make with
tail control?
May I ask you to give me evaluation (merit,
demerit and Others) of this trail and other
ideas of turning for small people like me.
Best Regards,
Nishina 2005, 10/26
